*TRIGGER WARNING* These female human body earrings are engraved with the words "NOT ALL WOUNDS ARE VISIBLE" on the ribcage area. This design symbolizes how victims and survivors can be battered, bruised, or suffering internally with suicidal ideation, and yet they can look perfectly fine on the outside. These earrings are a part of our Empowerment Collection, designed to bring awareness to the issues of suicide and domestic violence. These issues are not always visible on the surface; sometimes it's hard to know until you ask. In creating this collection we hope to open the lines of communication between victims and allies to get more help to those in need.
Although these earrings depict a woman's body, we want to remind you that DV and suicide are all-gender issues. Men experience domestic violence and commit suicide too. Did you know that one in four women and one in nine men experience intimate partner violence? Did you know that roughly 94-98% of reports are true? Did you know that men are more likely to go through with suicide, and that it's usually in a more violent manner than women?
50% of the sale price of all purchases from this collection will be donated to www.thehotline.org (where you can text, call, or chat for help with domestic violence) and suicidepreventionlifeline.org (a national network of crisis centers with 24/7 hotlines).
